Simple Question - Does wiring off Sandbags actually work? You'll often see casts where one player will wire off another's sandbags only for the other's units to just hug the wire and still get the green shield indicating heavy cover. Is this a bug? Misleading indication?
Example (8:34 if the direct time link doesn't work, you see Luvnest's MG42 seemingly get Green Cover behind wire)

It works if you get it just right. Put the wire too close to the cover and you get the result you described. Too far and units can squeeze in between the wire and the cover. I find it helps to you rotate the camera to a top down view, though gauging the exact distance comes with experience.

if you put the wire with a bit of an angle instead of exactly parallel to the cover you don't have to worry about units getting between the wire and cover.

I've been pondering this for a different reason though. That point blank mechanic that was introduced in CoH2, well it seems that it would eliminate cover benefits so close. So, wiring off the cover is not useful for troops that advance on you, while you are in that same cover. It only seems to be helpful if you block off some popular cover that you would expect your opponent to use in a later engagement.
