Hey all! I found this interesting 5 part interview with Major Dick Winters who served in the 101st's Easy Company during ww2 (the Dick Winters from Band of Brothers). It has a lot of interesting parts about his Paratrooper training, his leadership, how he set up attacks (including the famous attack at Brecourt Manor, which he set up), details about all the campaings including Normandy, The Netherlands and Bastogne.
All in all it is really interesting to just listen to this man. He has this aura of leadership and around him. I can understand why men would follow him into battle.
Part one
Part two
Part three
Part four
Part five
Enjoy.
A tribute to Maj. Dick Winters

I think the inclusion and interviews with surviving members of the 101 were what propelled Band of Brothers from a good world War 2 series to a masterful portrayal of the times and conflict.

Yes indeed! The book seems good too, might be picking it up soon.
