wow, what a disappointing update.

now we have more longer strafing run duration and bigger attack distance. which makes things even more inconvenient despite the fact that it comes less often.

not the kind of nerf i was looking for opel trucks.

now all these heavy splash damage units like brummbar and is2 are more accurate? well, good by infantry.

they made the panzer iv less accurate... not the kind of change it needs still....

almost 3 weeks and these are the changes we get, disappointing but i hope more are to come soon!

Hmmm... I gotta play to really see the changes. I am suprised with the ju87 strafe though, I thought it would get a heavier nerf. Opel seems fine, raised cost and nerfed its farming.

Brilliant changes imo. Only thing i wish they'd touched up as well was the ineffectiveness of the Stug 3 and over effectiveness of the SU-85.

Can someone explain the changes to strafe?

The JU-87D Strafing Run now functions as a suppression ability. The loiter behavior was modified to improve the visuals of the off-map and make it more susceptible to anti-air weapons.

JU-87D Strafing Run
• Attacks per aircraft from 5 to 3
• Delay between attacks from 3s to 18s
• Duration time from 48s to 75s
• Target lead in from 50 to 20
• Target lead out from 60 to 20
• Target attack distance from 150 to 225
• Target attack time from 2.125 to 4.25
• Modified UI barrage radius to match the loiter radius of the JU-87D
• Damage from 8 to 2.5
• Rate of fire from 32 to 16
• Suppression from 0.12 to 0.25
• Max range from 175 to 225

Massively increased time between strafing runs, massively reduced damage. More supression. Overall your infantry will no longer get gang raped but just a mild screwing over for a longer period of time.

Im not sold on teh strafing run, will have to test it to see how it effects things, the cargo truck nerf.. well was expected but was it too much?? a nerf to its income and bumping the price up

I think the changes are rather good, all moving in the right direction.

Commander Changes are good and bring them more in line with soviets (mortar by might hit the field a bit quickly but we'll see).

htd - can't argue with that.

Hard to tell what the changes to starting run will be like from the numbers and will need testing.

Open blitz - I feel the trucks will still be effective in 1v1 but won't scale like a beast in 2v2+ - pricing might be too steep 250 May be more acceptable (as you would effectively sacrifice a t1 squad for it)

Tanks - look fine the nerf to pz4 will make t34 more viable, t70 makes no sense to me - brilliant looks great and is2/tiger needed it

Hmg changes are good but it rewards flanking with another mg rather than grens/scripts

Tldr: I'm pleased with it.

Well, at least the T34-85's scatter was buffed and P4s nerfed. Though, the P4 needed a bigger nerf.

Read it - is-2 was. T34 will be better as pz4 is weaker

IS-2 had its scatter drastically reduced.

I'm curious to see what that 1 frame reduction between user input and unit response does, hopefully it has a notable improvement to the responsiveness and this will promote better micro!

The PzIV is just less accurate at range now... it won't change much for PzIV vs T-34 duels except that you have a higher probability to successfully gtfo.

I'm excited about the change because they didn't bring a sledgehammer to solve some of these issues. E.g., instead of buffing T-34 they just made the PIV correspondingly less powerful, which shifts the meta slightly away from medium tanks towards infantry.

I'm a little surprised they didn't touch the SU-85 or Stug.

Very much looking forward to trying out this patch.

edit: Also as far as the strafe, it will be a lot less of a pain in the ass, and a lot more susceptible to AA fire. Would be a good investment now to buy a quad gun and try to waste some of your opponent's ammo.

Essentially, they've opened up the field for Soviet tier 3, which was previously under-utilised. I'm hoping that the best part about the notes is the user-input delay being addressed, but will have to wait and test it out really.

If you're referring to the P4's increased scatter...do you really think that will make much difference? I don't see much else that will make T3 more viable for the Soviets.

Also reduced scatter for T70, but the PIV nerf alone may make the T34 more viable. Will have to wait and see how it plays out.

The pz4 scatter means the t34 won't melt in front of it as quickly. Combined with a zis and the t34s AI capabilities a pz4 won't force you to go straight to t4 (hopefully)
