So with the latest patch there comes some much anticipated changes to the community maps. I have not played on the updated maps, but have loaded each map in custom game and had a good look at them. To me all the changes seem to be positive and do move towards being more balanced.

- Westwall now seems much improved with the moving of certain cutoffs/sectors and the shrinking of the map size overall. Still uncertain about houses close to base, if you get pushed off the map it can be gg, and partisans on this map are a real pain but maybe the WBP will fix that.

- Essen is now a lot cleaner visually and I think that is a huge improvement. Am keen to see how it plays.

- Caen was already the best map from the recent additions but one cutoff was particularly bad, so I was quite please to see that improved.

- Bombard refinery is not a map I have played much so I am unsure what the changes are, but am interested to see how it plays out.

- Market ruins is not a map that appeals to me in the current version of the game. I may look at it once the WBP comes out. Changes do look encouraging though...

- Bryansk Forest it seems was untouched. This to me was extremely disappointing as i think it has real potential, not to mention being visually attractive. However the maze like layout still heavily favours usf and the trees tend to get in the way ( visually ) too often. It will remain a veto for me unfortunately.
