I don't know why we can't have a weekly or bi-monthly update where stats are adjusted slightly instead of massive changes every 4-5 months.

Many reasons.

1- It's not good to constantly change stats so frequently, it's bad enough that the game suffered through so many patches as it already had. Such level of instability for games would mean no one would find it reliable.

2- Even if we're to ignore or presume the first point you'd still need the staff to do all the changes, which they have a habit of not doing, so the frequency of such changes isn't even something that can be accomplished, nevermind the feasibility of those changes. A huge part of the problem isn't so much the issue with the game or even the longstanding issues that continue to plague it, but the fact that the developers themselves are either not doing the work of fixing it, but instead are promoting things like skins and competitions.

3- Even if both points are disregarded or not relevant, the staff would just be pressured to make any changes that people complain about, for the sake of saying they made changes. Changes that perhaps very few people would agree with to be beneficial. The closest thing the playerbase would be universally against is current USF mortar, but you'll either have die-hard USF fanboys that will prefer they get the biggest advantage they can get in the game, or a large array of disagreement on just what to do with that issue , like removing the unit altogether, major or minor tweaks, or ignoring it and boosting other factions' own units.

4- The staff has allegedly been greatly reduced as production manpower is geared for another game title. Patching a three year old game that clearly hasn't lived up to its aspirations is hardly better than throwing all effort into a new game to garner pre-orders and DLC milking. Relic is there to make money.

That's why game is good, it's not "A" vs "A", it's more like "X" vs "Y".

If you wanna play JT vs JT / Ele vs JT custom matches are here. The balance is not horrible, but favors the allies in a few matchups and in the others axis. What do you think?

Stug? One AT Gun and done.

JT is hardly seen while 81 and T70 (+Penals+Guards) are every game.

Not really.

T70 has a turret, it's very mobile, fast, self repairs, one bad positioning with AT Gun and it's gone vs T70.

i must laugh everytime when u get a abandon centeur and the allies see how Op this unit is and cry..it´s much more stronger than ostwind.

the USF morta is much more stonger than the ost....thats a fact. and u can get it from t0! (lol)

Yes, some days ago again, 2 4men grens on retreat, centaur: brrrrrt, squad dead, brrrt, next dead.

Meanwhile ostwind: bop bop bop bop bop, some shots in the ground, enemy squads losing some health. :D

When you lose squad like that you deserve it. No reason call centaur OP and blame that ostwind are weak witout video/repley/screens. Coz i have a lot storys about how i wipe with ostwind (phh dont tell to another ppl).

Why u say "like that" ? I see centaur and retreat with full squads, he kills both. On the other side, ostwind has to drive backwards when he see for example US rifle infantry with bazookas, even when u have 2 ostwinds, because they need too long to kill all models.

100 fuel, a bit expensive, for mainly anti airplane usage.

These are all Axis buffs and Allies nerf. Which is very good for the health and balance of the game.
What bothers me is: Relic knew these things, then Why they launched a tourny like the War Painting?

Why didnt you choose the option "others"? yes usf mortar is better than all other mortars in the game for the cheap price, but its only the BARRAGE which is OP, which is fine because the player needs to invest micro management for a barrage. The main issue of mortars in this game is that the 0 micro auto fire is able to one shot squads, and not a broken barrage of 1 mortar.


The biggest balance problem in coh2 imo is the fukin arty spam + lmg blob meta cheese.

These changes for lmg and allies arty would have been SO important:
- M1919/Bren/Vickers K are now only available as an upgrade (like the lmg42 for wehr gren) and require 2 weapon slots (double-lmg squads are no longer available)

- Land matress has decreased amount of rockets per barrage

- CalliOPe rockets need damage nerf against inf and OKW HQs

Nah man, the autofire is the most OP of all.

The USF mortar fires 25% faster, is almost twice as accurate, and gets a further scatter reduction at vet1 instead of useless counterbarrge. Plus, it fights against ostheer, which is a faction designed around static support weapons and 4 man squads. The actual targeted barrage is less accurate for some reason, but still fires 25% faster. Use it to rape buildings and big targets, not against single units. Pretty much best to always leave the damn thing on auto fire.


Trying to justify this mortar's performance is ridiculous, it is clearly broken. The only thing the other mortars have over the USF mortar is faster set up time and 40 manpower price difference.

wehrmacht mortar isnt that bad compared to usf mortar, come on guys
