Hello,
I run CoH2 on Windows Vista, quad core processor and 2 GB vidoe card - HIS IceQ Radeon HD 7780 Ghz edition.
This hardware lets me run the game on med high to high settings with no problem.
Yesterday, the game wouldn't start, I was getting a message like "Failed to detect a rendering device. Make sure your system meets minimum requirements..." and such. I'm sure you've heard about this message before, I just can't recall it completely.
I've checked the drivers, they were up to date, checked Windows Update and downloaded four updates - two for Microsoft Essentials and two for Vista frame pack. None were for DirectX or GPU.
I restarted the comp and ran the game. CoH started just fine, but right from the beginning I've noticed that graphic performance failed to ultra low even if it is set to the highest.
Could you help me to fix this please?)
Thanks!
Graphic performance ultra low hence good PC build

And yeah, I forgot to monitor that no other Steam game could be launched at that time. I've tried Team Fortress 2, but it was stopping from launching right at the beginning with no reasons given.
Maybe Steam client has something to do with this?).
Thanks.
