grafic issues since patch

hi there,

today i fired up coh2 to play the new patch and was surprised that over night the game has nearly become unplayable for me.

i always experienced a very good grafic performance in coh2 with a high framerate on near max settings on 2560*1600 with a GTX 780

now i get some 5 frames per seconds and the game suggest i put all my settings to low which looks terrible.

anyone experienced simelar issues?

You should refresh the cache of the game, or uninstall / install it again

well reinstalling would be a huge pain in the ass...
what do you mean by cache of the game?
what is it? where is it? how would i refresh it?

You can refresh it in steam if i am correct. Go to your library right click on the game and there will be something standing over there i think.... Will come back later if you understand with a better explanation ^^

did not find anything concerning a game cache there...

i guess i will try to update my graphic drivers later. i have not done that in a couple of years since computer rule no1 states: never ever try to fix something thats not broken.
