If you can't make a living doing what you do, you're an amateur, not a professional. To be fair, some games have communities large enough to support professional non-developer-funded content creators, therefore community-created content can be professionally made. My main point was that creating content as a community member does not magically make you a professional.

This thread isn't about whether professionals are inherently better than non-professionals, it's about how Relic should hire professionals. Which is silly when you realize that when it comes to CoH2, everybody working at Relic is by definition professional and everybody in the community is by definition non-professional.

The Moderators could spend many hours on troll threads like this one, as ad hominem attacks develop on posters who are not even so far involved in this thread.

I am invising a couple of such posts (and follow-ups citing the ad hominems, but if the trolling carries on, Moderators may wish to apply a clamp.
God forbid, if anyone dares to annoy you with his foolish troll threads, I will personally take care of him.

by that def any worker is professional. Often professional means person who does work well. What they intended to do when they introduced uncounterable units like kt.

Anyone knows that any unit mix must have a counter. I remember those screens of balance train - kt with 3 panthers. Kt with current stats is the unit for custom mod not for automatch.

It will take more than the Good Lord and his Angelic Host to save you from joining the Choir Invisibule, if you carry on in this vein.

Just sayin'

Relic should be very selective about what feedback they listen to from the community.

This thread is a wonderful example.

+1 but just go with the flow mate. Player count is going down and this game will die in a year or two (max). And by die I mean very very very few players playing this game.

steamcharts.com/app/231430

For hardcore PC games, this is pretty normal based on seasonal changes in Europe and NA which are the primary market for COH2 (US, UK, Germany, Russia, Canada are top5).
http://steamspy.com/app/231430

Perhaps except mobile casual gaming during the summer time, PC gaming takes the backseat. Then during the winter months, many COH2 players are stuck indoors where there is little to do each night.

Threads locked as you're now discussing the meaning of professional. Plus, I don't see this going anywhere constructive.
