Spread them out and make sure each one 50 meter farther from the other one. Just focus on these 3 units, use the barrage again as soon as the cooldown is over. If you get mattress-ed then recrew with volks and repair and keep doing what you've been doing. Killing those emplacements.
This works perfectly for 2vs2 and up. For 1v1 the DOC is rarely used. You can still go 3x leIG though.

You are suggesting to invest 990mp to counter emplacements? And even then you have to invest more mp to recrew etc?
990mp to counter;
HMGs in building. AT walls lategame. Blobs. Deny the use of cover. Any and all kind of buildings. USF. Sounds economic.
And recrewing is not that expensive. In a competitive match you'll be constantly reinforcing your volks anyway.

You just suggested to throw away 1k mp in a team game on a heavily early-mid game pressured side. To make things even worse, you suggested to spend 1k mp not only on very limited-use units, but on units which would be stolen and used against you by anyone remotely good, thus giving your oponent 1k mp advantage on top of your 1k mp disadvantage. Truth be told, you dont even need any ranks to see where it goes. But yet here we are.

Played a match (4v4) where my teammates said we will take care of early ranks and infantry. I should take care of emplacements and support unit and then go tanks. I got 3 leig with Sturm officer and few volks...emplacements got fu*ked in their arse. So in 3v3 and 4v4, it is one of the best ways to deal with emplacements if your teammates are ready to help.
FYI, sturm offizier aura does nothing for LeIGs despite the symbol floating above them. Placebo affect is real though.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the Sturm Offizier aura in the modding tools seems to reduce the ISG's reload time by 9%.
Here are the full effects:
Target | Effect |
Infantry type units but not Officers, HMGs, mortars or the Raketenwerfer | +10% accuracy |
HMG type units (MG34) | +10% accuracy |
Mortar type units (not the ISG) | -9% reload time |
AT gun type units (Raketenwerfer and ISG) | -9% reload time |
