Relic clearly underestimates the french war effort, and especially the entertainment and gameplay potential one could have, with a USF Partisan commander.
So, may i present you...

The French Cigarette Smoking Partisan Company*


*name is up for change (it's a bit long :snfPeter: )




Featuring:

0CP Economic resistance
Enemies who capture your points will only receive 50% income from it for 120 seconds.

3CP Jean Claude and his minions
- they stole his baguette, now they gonna pay!
Basic Partisan squad with hobo-cast. Can be upgraded with weaponary (at high cost)

5CP Vive la résistance
Infantry special, for ammo cost. Increase attack speed by 30% for 30 seconds. De- / Capturing rate increased by 30%. After special ends, it drains 20 health points (entity keeps 1hp if it would drop under), slows movement speed by 25% for 15 seconds.

9CP BCRA network
Cast a resistance squad to a control point (paradropped). Squad is AI controlled, will capture the point, remain on the point, hidden while out of combat, for 60 seconds (low strength).
(or self controlled?)

11CP Amêlie Achille
Solo specialist with camo.
May plant timed high yield demo TNT charges.
Can use aimed shot special to snipe targets at cost of ammo - C'Est La Vie

Uh...you probably know more about this game than I do, but here's my thoughts. Economic Resistance seems OP, particularly when used on Ammo and Fuel points. Amelie is called in too late to be of much use; snipers are an early game unit, not usually seen at 11CP. AI controlled units seem a waste, easily countered if stuck on a point. Finally, there's no vehicular call in (which I suppose is in keeping with the idea, but will put players off).

I like the call in AI units idea, I'm surprised some form of this isn't in the game already.

About the OP, it reminds me "Armed and Dangerous" where the heroes got ambushed in the forest by 2 soldiers and one of the hero uses his power jedi-mind-trick-brainwash on them : "you are...errr....french!" and the soldiers drops their guns and flee screaming "we surrender!" Hilarious XD.
In the french version the joke was replaced by "you are british" (mutual hatred forever) but it doesnt have the same taste.

Also, yeah French Partisans is a nice idea. Some 0CP or 1CP infantry units might open up new options for US early game. How about 0CP partisan squad deployable from ambient buildings with 90 second cooldown?

The economic resistance would be kind of crippling. Would make more sense as a late game ability. Like cp7. Think early game, USFs advantage, they cap like 60-70% of map. You try to cap back but resource rate is low, and thus cannot keep up with the already advantageous USF early game. But that would work fine mid-late game.
