DESCRIPTION
In an attempt to bypass the infamous Siegfried Line, allied forces launched Operation Market Garden, the largest airborne operation in history, with the objective of capturing the bridges across the Meuse and Rhine rivers in Netherlands, which would allow them to rapidly advance into Northern Germany.

The operation would consist of two parts, Operation Market, with the goal of dropping airborne forces to seize the bridges, and Operation Garden, to spearhead through enemy territory and link up with the paratroopers.

Due to much stronger resistance than anticipated and massive delays caused by supply issues, Operation Market Garden was considered a colossal failure, which hindered the expectation of finishing the war by Christmas of 1944. It would take allied forces until March of the next year, just to cross the Rhine river.









I would appreciate some feedback. Especially on the north and south victory points. I didn't want the map to be too symmetrical, but I'm afraid that one team may have an advantage over the other.
