Possible return, what's changed?

Hello all,

In what I am sure is a somewhat familiar story, I played the crap out of vCoH, even CoHO, preordered the collector's edition of CoH2, and then quit playing after maybe 8 months out of frustration / disappointment.

- Terrible commander system compared to vCoH / CoHO
- pay2win commanders (Elite for Ostheer was all the rage, or Industy for Soviet)
- Many gimmicky strats that were too effective (lololol sniper clown car or perma infantry pin for 45seconds)
- Poor unit design, way too many things that could one round an entire squad (KV8, ISU-152, Ost anti-inf mines, etc)
- Overall poor balance and tactical decisions, though this was getting better. Things like cover having almost no outcome, that video were a full cons squad chased an MG for about 15s and couldn't kill it, etc. SU85s roflscoping.

It looks like there have been a lot of expansions and changes since then. I won't ask "is it worth coming back" because that's a pretty subjective question. Instead, is there a good cooked down version of this to read somewhere? Has any of the core stuff changed?

I enjoy playing CoH2 very, very much at the moment. Just install the game and see for yourself

Almost everything you mentioned has changed, and the games a lot better now.
