Personally I think Churchill AVRE+Comet+firefly/anothercomet is the most effective versatile lategame combo.

Nothing beats croc supported by fireflies when it comes to efficiency against everything.

If i dont choose crocie doctrine my combo looks like this :

Churchill for soaking , firefly for damage (tulips included) and centaur for wiping harrasing infantry - its real beast for this job.

Also ad one at gun behind tanks , it fast rof and good pen can give you edge if tank battles

I've had some success with 2 centaurs supported by AT guns and some infantry (4 v 4 maps) then a churchill or two.

2 or 3 centaurs insta wipe infantry blobs (target the shreks first) and the churchill out front is a damage soak.

Churchill + Churchill AVRE + Centaur.

Move forward with Churchill, if quite safe, send Centaur to wipe stuff (work without centaur as well of course).

If its getting hot, and your tanks are low smoke from Churchill.

Now the bait is set.

Reverse behind smoke, shoot with AVRE into smoke at chasing tanks :megusta:

To be honest, I don't like Comet.
I prefer Churchill with 17 Pounder.
If I really need AT, Firefly with tulips can do the job.

Firefly and Churchil because the churchil is like the kv 1 .It is able to soak dmg while the sherman is like the su-85 which is able to snipe vehicles.I would recomend this combo to anyone who plays Brits.

In 1v1s I've had success with rushing a Centaur and then supporting it with an AT gun until I can save up for a Comet. Keep in mind I usually spend 0 fuel other than techning towards the Centaur then Comet so it hits the field asap. The idea is to peel the AT guns/p4/stug/whatever with the Comet and flank with the Centaur. Churchill is ok but it's just a damage sponge. I really want to like the Firefly but I honestly can't justify the fuel or munis for rockets when 1-2 well positioned AT guns can do the job.

This is all work in progress of course. Still less than 30 games in with Brits.
