I was just playing the trial when this really loud sniper rifle burst cut through my ear like literal bullet.. i now know what it feels like to hear a bullet pass by my head!!
It is the dreaded sound bug.
I saw von ivan's stream and he was cursing at it a few times too!!
I searched on the internet for this and this could save you possible hearing damage. What it is called is a limiter... Basically if the audio output ever exceeds the maximum volume on the cumulative volume of the windows output, it will lower the volume to safer volume..

if you guys want an alternative, try doing a search for "output limiter windows" or replace with OS you are using

Try selecting Sound Quality to "low" on your Options in 'Sound' - don't try it, if there is a game showing though, bcs the option is not then available.

will try and report back my findings.. but having the sound experience is the whole point of having nice speakers

I just recognised the sound bug but all I heard was a bit of static that didn't hurt me. Thanks a lot for the program!

I get it every game and loud as garden, I even had it 5 seconds after the initial jump scare.
