Hello!
According to patch notes 3rd September, Ml20 damage will be reduced from 300 to 160. And german howitzer have the same damage. ML20 have 8 salvos (10 - vet 1) and leFH have 10! The cost is the same. Soviet howitzer would be better IMO. Take it away from them all the advantages because they are frustrating. Bravo!
Soviet ML 20 and leFH 18 have the same damage!

Counter-argument...
The leFH 18 is also, generally, in really bad doctrines.
And I don't think there is any leFH 18 doctrine that can reliably bombing run a ML-20.
Meanwhile you could just pick Soviet Reserve Army or w/e the one with ML-20 and IL-2 bomb.
Bomb the leFH18... shoot your ML-20
???
Profit

Not quite as good as a recon + bomb, but there's still storm doctrine- tactical movement [sprint] with pioneers [long line of sight], then stuka? Not practical for the soviet player to cover every single angle of approach, especially for an out-of-base howitzer.
That being said, it's the only thing storm doctrine seems good for, and the soviet howitzer doctrines are definitely better. Only LEFH doctrine that seems decent is the one with scopes and command tank.

Ahh yeah you're right. Storm does have Stuka and leFH18. It'll definitely work against out of base howitzers.
Either way the out of base thing is a great change, and right now the ML-20 is crazy. I don't think there's anything wrong with Relic experimenting with the leFH18 being stronger. If it doesn't workout, it'll be pretty obvious and they can buff the ML-20 or slightly reduce it's cost.

The LeFH has more scatter than the ML-20 which makes it less accurate compared to ML-20 as shown on coh2-stats.com
