hi need som help here.

I want my assault engineer to be able to build multiple artillery pieces both soviet and germans, and I have cloned the artillery and removed all requirements, and the engineer can build it, but the problem is, that once it built no squad can "pick" up or enter the gun... whats wrong here. All Ive done is remove requirements and removed starting squad with "null".

It is hard to say without knowing exactly what you changed. What do you mean by starting squad, for example?

well I have tried to options, cause I want to be able to build the german PAK 43 and the Soviet 152 mm Howitzer.

So I have been testing, and for the Howitzer I did: 1. Clone
2. Remove faction/commander requirements
3. Change soldiers that spawns with the gun once it built, from soviet weapon crew to aef
weapon crew

And when I test this in game, engineers build, and once its completed, you can see a gun spawns behind the one you just built, and explodes. And you can capture the original gun.

For the PAK 43 I did: 1. Clone
2. Remove faction/commander requirements
3. Remove "Stating_squad" to "null".

And when I test this in game, engineers build, but cant capture it once its done. It just stands there useless. And I dont get the "mouse" ingame that you get when you pick up weapons or other crew weapons.

Let's troubleshoot the howitzer first:

Did you clone to the same name and location for m1937_152mm_ml_20_artillery_mp (ebp)?

Did you delete the required_resource and required_player_upgrade in the requirements_ext of m1937_152mm_ml_20_artillery_mp (ebp)?

Did you clone to a different name and/or location for m1937_152mm_ml_20_artillery_mp (sbp)?

If that is all you did, I do not see why it would explode. Maybe try cloning to a different name and location for the ebp, specifically in the AEF race folder?

1 - Well I cloned the howitzer with same name, but change the "faction" location from \soviet - to \aef So it would be \aef\vehicles\soviet_fieldgun\m1937_152mm_ml_20_artillery_mp (something like that)
2 . Yes I removed all requirements.
3 - All I want is to be able to build an emty howitzer, do I need sbps for the howitzer then?

You should give it a new name, too. The best thing would be to delete it, clone again to a new name and location.

yes entire crew dies upon completion of the gun, but the funny thing is, I can still use it but whit out any crew members :S??

I got it to work, dont know why it worked this time though. But all i did was to clone the guns, and changed the save location entirely, so now its \\\aef\team_weapons\howitzer_group\m115_howitzer_mp

I rhen cloned the ebps, and cloned a rear escalon group to be the weapon crew. Removed requriements and changed group_spawn on construction part of the ebps of the gun.

So it workes as intended now... Thanks for helping me everyone:-)

It is because attribute names are unique, so it was probably causing conflicts by having the same name.

by the way do you have a soldier list for soviets? there are too many names like rifleman and and and from aef

Could this be the problem for others vehicles, as well?, Are experiencing errors when I "build" the mod, when I try cloning some of the vehicles?
And thats when I just clone them the same, just for altering the price.

Its the error Code 1, something something.

Make sure you do not have the Archive Viewer open when trying to build. Otherwise, cloning should not be causing Mod Builder errors.

hmm, well it does, without having he Archive Viewer open. Some of the units I have tried to clone results in error code 1.

I know at least it goes for the 75mm aef howitzer and the german brumbar.
