I've noticed Soviet conscripts just aren't dying with any regularity now. Even with vet 2 grens with LMGs and MGs on them, they seem to sit there and just take it unless caught in red cover.
What did this change actually do? They're much, much more powerful with vet than ever before.
I'm not whining yet, but I'm having a hard time coming up with any unit combinations as Ostheer that will do any manpower damage. This is dramatically increasing Soviet mid and late game strength, since you usually could expect to lose 1-2 squads a game and still have a really good chance of winning, whereas Ostheer probably wouldn't lose squads till AOE started really wrecking squads late game with decent micro.
