Axis dominating 4v4s

Allies slightly better in 1v1s

Hasn't it been like this for... a whole year

Personal Conclusion:

1v1 remains relatively balanced, despite HMG buffs. Interestingly, USF seem to be winning more games, whilst Ost seem to be winning even less 1v1 than they were before, despite HMG buff...odd (double tiger effect?). Heavy changes don't really seem to have effected it thus far.

Allies have become even weaker in team games. Probably due to the Double heavies crutch being taken away.

Looks like Axis stock tanks have taken up that burden far more efficiently (dat Krupp).

Something I'd really like to know:

Do the graphs ONLY show W/L ratios of games between Top200s or do they include all games (= Top200 vs non-Top200)?

It's all the games, means also top 200 vs non top 200.

We already discussed this. Random was used for 2s/3s/4s data rendering them useless. So basically the data for 1s is accurate while any team mode game not measured in AT is useless.

Thanks for your opinion.

It was what Legends said. If you want the exact quote I will get it for you.

I know how the graphs work. I was actually addressing your supposition the data was "useless".

Again, I value your opinion.

Thank you and I yours. Maybe useless was a little too strong of a word. Inconclusive would be a better term.

From Legends: "Oh, I just checked stats from top 5.
It seems like the current best random 4v4 players do not play very often, and when they do, they always win :megusta:"

This is the problem with using random data for team game modes. He also said he would revisit the data using AT modes after his holiday. I know a lot of people would like to see that data set.

Random Axis 2v2/3v3/4v4, are just as random as Random Allies 2v2/3v3/4v4.

Random axis teams seem to cope a lot better, given the data, than random allies do, should they meet an AT team.

Random Axis beat Random Allies - the data does not show random vs AT though.

Right, so therefore we have a balance mismatch, regardless of any AT influence.

We would have to hope that AT>Random most of the time. I guess we'll see when the stats come out.

We need to give it more time for the meta to settle. 1/4th of those top 200 players probably haven't even played this patch yet.

Not a balance mismatch per se, just bad match making most of the time.

Perceived balance is the bigger issue in large team games, than the actual one.

So top 200 2v2/3v3/4v4 random Allies, just have bad luck, and get a harder match more than the Axis random's?

Is that what you're saying?

Not sure what you're saying here either. Large team games don't count as the actual game now?

More large team games are played than 1v1 and 2v2 games combined.
