What does mean "a tonn"? 1 Su76 is probably enough in 1vs1 and next build something else. 1 Su76 will give you a good At and a barrage to fight medium.

Su76 barrage is primarily for team weapons and buildings. And does just fine doing that. Get 2 of them if you need more destructive power as they are cheap as chips.

Use it when you have sight of something and I think you will find it a lot more reliable. It's literally the ZiS gun barrage but free.

I've meant same amount resources spent on SU-76 compared to going straight to SU-85+Katys.
I think you get better both AI and AT with resources spent on mixed SU-85+Katys.

Yeah, you can say that SU-76 is kinda stop gap because it come to the battlefield much earlier, but SU-76 play is very reactive. It doesn't gives you shock value of opening attack with Katy barrage (or going T-70 or T-34 if we are talking about alternatives).

And if you buy one, you delay your top tier units for quite much which may cost you a game in the end. Maybe it worth the delay if you went T1->T4 because T1 have zero AT.

Well, it depends on situation and without having some replays we can only theorycraft. First month after patch will tell more.

If you use it at max range like an artillery barrage it will be inaccurate, but it can easily wipe squads and for absolutely free that's pretty fun. It's also good against buildings, weapon teams and OKW trucks.

Like the whole point of the SU-76 is it's multi-role AND cheap. It's new pen isn't something to sneeze at at max range it has a 60% chance to frontally pen a tiger and a 56% chance to frontally pen a Panther!
