TAW King Of The Hill

The King of the Hill TAW internal matchup is designed to create competitive play within the clan whilst also showcasing our friendly and supportive community. By participating in this event we reward many people in the clan for their hard work, support and participation together by giving opportunities for;

Casters/Streamers to host and cast events, bringing in viewers and followers to the channel
Players to gain community exposure, small fame and have games casted for analysis. Players will be
TAW community players to watch TAW clan games, learn new strategies and watch high level play. This is a community event where everybody can talk in chat, support your favourite players and also meet new people in the clan.
TAW clan to have visible advertisement, active recruiting and showcasing why we are so awesome!

Format and Protocol

Sunday Match Night

Players for the following week will be selected from a list of willing participants on the Steam group. (You can add your name to the participant list if you wish to be included in King of The Hill) Players selected will agree to be present the following Sunday at 18:00 GMT

The designated casting team will also be decided the week before by TAW staff.

During the week

In this time, selected players will be requested to link to their opponents and the casting team via Steam. This will allow the smooth setup of the event on the upcoming Sunday.

Sunday ‘King of the Hill’

Players will make themselves available to play at 18:00 GMT. The streamers may still be in game, building up an audience for the tournament so please be patient if the game does not start straight away at 18:00.

The players will set up a game as per the instructions given in the ‘Rules’ section, and wait for the casting team to message them with the chosen map.

The event will then start.

Rules of the event

Whilst there are no real rules or restrictions, the following information is regarding game setup.

BEST OF 3 GAMES

Allies start in position 1 for games 1 & 2.
Axis start in position 2 for games 1 & 2.
Game 3 positions will be chosen by player who won with lowest VP score

Victory Points - 500

Bypass Delay Password : KOTHTAW
It is essential that you set the password at the start of each game. Otherwise the casters will have to sit and wait for 5 minutes to watch your game.

At the end of each game the streamers will take note of the final VP score. If a final game is required, the person who won their match with the highest VP lead will choose their faction for game 3. The other player will be allowed to select their preferred starting position on the map.

Quick Checklist before starting each game

Make sure allied team is in position 1

Make sure that bypass delay password is set : KOTHTAW

Send the streamer a quick message to say that game 2 has started
