Grenade elevation bug

Trying to throwing grenades up hill or on different elevations wont happen, the squad will stand still with the icon grayed out but the nade will never deploy/be thrown


Not sure if it effects other nades


Edit: For sure this is a bug, Riflemen will wait for the ability to activate but the nade will never be thrown, the icon is grayed out like the ability is active but the animation wont play and the nade wont be thrown.

yeah,I suspected this when trying to fire rifle grenades from the middle vp to the small base on minsk pocked.
Quite annoying

I could NOT throw riflemen USF grenades on hill 331 at all. They would just bug out and not throw if i tried throwing them up a slope or hill

engine bug that's been around since at least dow2. nades going up hill don't go as far and nades going downhill fly further.

This can happen in many various situations if find most often the game calculates that a shot blocker or immovable object (yes this count's for the ground) is in the way but as it is not scripted to tell the squad to move into a better position upon a skill use involving a shot blocker then the squad remains still as it technically has no idea how to follow said order.

You could call this a bug, I prefer to note it as a failure to include this in the engine rather than a bug in it.

This is really frustrating, especially since it is a bug that has been introduced since the patch and was not there before. I hope this is fixed very soon.

Conscripts on Vet 3 with triple molotov range bulletin on top of Hill 331 could theoretically throw a molo right to the Axis base acting as a mortar halftrack

lol have you tried this? if so you must post it. if this affects RGs it would be even better.

Its a bug, they wont throw the nade at all.

This issue is present with all factions with nearly every infantry ability, it seems.

I've had issues with Riflemen AT nades, Gren fausts, etc.

vehicles suffer from this too, isu for example will have all shots hitting the ground if the target is even slightly higher

just had this happen in a game. if there's a model in the way, like a wall on an elevation difference, the squad just bugs out and never throws. the icon darkens but the ability is never actually used.
