So my Macbook Pro died few days ago. I need a new PC, a tower.
Is that good ? http://www.materiel.net/ordinateur/materiel-net-canhard-xxiii-pc-gamer-111948.html
It's in French, so here are the specs :
Intel Core i5 4590 3,20 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4096 Mo
8Go RAM
Asus H97M-E
SSD Crucial MX100 - 256 Go
Please, do not link me other specs ! I'd like to know if that tower is sexy/good/meh/shitty, thx

Also, people are probably gonna whine sooner or later that you shouldn't get a GTX 970 because of its memory issues. Don't listen to them, it's still the best card for its price range. Whether it's a 3.5GB or 4.0GB card, benchmarks > specs.

That said that PC you linked is pretty good for the price. Especially considering it is a pre-built one.
Does it state what PSU it has though? Pre-built pcs like to skimp out on that one and that can result in your PC exploding

Antec HCG
Pepsi:
While some of the components are a matter of taste and / or could be improved further, i'll have to admit this is one of the few pre-built PCs that are actually decent and kinda well rounded.

Here is a nice site where you can buy used parts. I've been using it for years and never had any problem.
You can also look for cheap new stuff in Chinese shops on rue montgallet (Metro ligne 8, station Montgallet). They usually have the best prices and the products are legit. The only disadvantage is that they only offer a 3 month warranty, so if something fails after 3 months you have to use the manufacturer's warranty. I'd recommend buying only high quality components there because they usually don't fail before a few years (been doing that for a long time and never had a problem).
And yeah, the GTX 970 is great

Since you were only asking if that specific build is good, are you getting a nice discount from somewhere to it?

Pretty much agree with all of here. It's a bit pricey but a solid build. Also I think it's worth mentioning that maybe more RAM could be useful.8Gb's of ram is more than satisfactory, anything else is overkill.

Depends on your usage. I easily reach peaks of ~17 GB.
Not that it matters, OPs PC has only 2/4 slots in use, for now 8 GB are enough, and in just in case cheap upgrading is easily possible.

I have the same specs than you but on AMD core. I play on HIGH settings. (Higher settings work well but in some big maps you may have fps loss on late game)
970gtx card is AWESOME.

I have build my self a PC with exactly that stuff(case not included) for ~850.
With "exactly that stuff" - i highly doubt that.

(Anyone as old as me remembers com ports, lpt ports, game controller ports and IRQ conflicts. Today that sounds like you are talking about vacuum tubes.)

@kamk: you are right. I had no clue what I am doing. The truth is: I have made a Lego house and my imagination told me it is a PC
Never said that. Just that you won't get these components for 850 Euros (in middle europe).
Sorry for the missunderstanding.
Btw.: of course it would be better to create your own build, but that's not OPs question.

During gaming? Or is that while you're rendering?
