How can the vet bonuses stack if you recrew/decrew the weapon? Doesn't it lose its vet level?

I tried this in cheatcommands mod too, it works.. 
Rotation is only veterany bonus stacking, so no auto reload or 300 range

In fact, couldn't this happen with every unit that gets recrewed, like support weapons, abandoned vehicles etc? Someone who understands programming please confirm or deny
