is JT APHEBC ability broken doesn't seem to go thru objects?

So after very long time tried breaktgru I had kv2 that was setup behind a bush I could see from fussiler flares the JT ability shoot thru objects with aphebc round don't work my jt started moving to get closer I tried attack ground that don't work either
