Splines paint over splats

Hi,
I am working on a map with some craters covering an area in a town centre, and after I placed down a tramrail texture spline, I noticed that it painted over a crater, which looked ridiculous. I got the same outcome with a curb.

My question is if anybody know how to make the splat overpaint the spline, and not the other way around?

Make the splts "on snow" option, and the splines not.

That should work. If not, say they spines need to be "on snow" elsewhere, you could always paint the splines transparent where the splats are, using the alpha tool in the spline tool tab.

Don't forget you can also use page up/page down to layer them exactly how you want them to be.

The page up/down only seem to rearrange the order between splines or splats. It was my initial response to the problem :)

I meant the combination of using "On Snow" and using page Up/Down. will get things in order for you. On snow is the correct answer i just expanded on it a little by mentioning you could play with them further, which your already aware of so basically problem solved.
