Just a poll for fun.

Let's say you're in-game in a team match. You're smashing the enemy and forcing their troops back. You are poised to strike deep into the enemy's heartland. Suddenly, your teammate messages you. "Please help! Need assistance!", he cries. Your teammate is on the other side of the map. Do you send your forces to assist him, or do you continue pushing into the enemy's territory?

and he threatens to drop unless you help(coz hez noob like that), so you help him then lose momentum and lose the match, because you went to help him in his one third of the map and lose the two thirds you fought hard to take.

I typically help the teammate. If I'm smashing the opponent on my side of the map he is going to take a while to reinforce and reorganize. There is a window of opportunity to double team my teammate's opponent and inflict some squad wipes to help him out before the opponent on my side of the map gets his act together again.

It can be a tougher decision if you're holding the opposing team's fuel point while they have yours though.

What are you doing alone on 'your' side to begin with? Thats my theory

Most 'noobs' will become useful if you help them survive hardest part of the match (start into mid game)

You don't achieve much by gaining ground on 1 side, especially if you are being tactically 'stalled' by other player for strategic victory.

I lost too many team games because team mates get spanked while others do their 1vs1 thing.
You always have to help.

I think it's better to help because in the long run gaining territory is a consequence of the whole team winning battles. Short term gains are not really important even if it's a resource point.

The problem I have quite a bit is I don't even notice when my teammate gets annihilated :/
Oops sorry dude

it depends on how fasts i can help and how much i have to give up to help. i have told people to do the best they can and stall until i could help.

Everytime when I'm trying to help like that, I get screwed on both sides. No thanks. Keep pushing.

I'd send one or two units over that he needs most. If you are otherwise winning, what is important is not letting his side break so your side is encircled.

Depends on situation. Best way to carry pubs is to play ultra aggressive and push your side so hard that whole enemy team forced to react, thus sacrificing map control. Also it always better to count on yourself then some randoms (and sometimes not only randoms) as long as you confident in outcome, in any situation.

Pretty much this. Although, you have good chances to get crushed if your teammates are cowards and won't take advantage of situation on their side.

Do a manstein manoever and cut the enemy forces off since you're already near his base. Proceed to take the encircled enemy troops as prisoners.

Depends really on the overall situation and how far away I would be. You could also think like that: if you push equally hard on your side as they do on your mates side, the enemy will be in the exact same dilemma probably. Maybe you actually are forcing the enemy on your mate's side to come to you.
