I can either cleanse the thread of three posts....or Green Devil and Katitof can call it a draw now, and shake hands.
No more rutting, thanks

USF vs Osheer seems roughly balanced to me. Both sides have too much cheese imo but equal slices of it I think.
The USF blob is pretty tough but they bleed bad. It's the same allied-early game axis-late game polarity, just less polarized

I find the USF as Ostheer can be a challenge, especially when they rush to AA haltrack and I haven't got scout car pak40 or even vet1 MG42.

What's the problem with Kholodny Winter (you get the good spawn). Semoisky, if you don't struggle early game, an MG42 and 2 paks is all you are gonna need for the rest of the game.
US rifles in building outside base and/or top fuel and you're gonna have a real tough time.

The main problem, as has already been mentioned, is that on some maps (actually the majority) all it takes for the US to mount inordinate pressure on Ost is to occupy certain key buildings (ie. Semois cutoff), and keep pushing the cutoff/fuel while teching LT, and putting the nail in the coffin with the Flaktruck/M20. If that doesnt do it, your massive fuel/map superiority usually will.
Ost can fight US on an even footing on open maps like Crossing/Langres where MGs actually have utility and initial engagement ranges are long, but thats about it.
