I think M10 is strongest AT asset currently for USF. It can 1v1 a P4 if you stay at range and two of them kill a panther or tiger very fast. M10 is not bad its just the stong axis AT what make it look bad. Schreck blob will instagib it and it dies to 3 pak shots. When you can get rid of the supporting AT units m10s will serve you well. I wouldn´t really mind if relic swapped m10 with jacksons.

Acceleration buff with the jackson would go a long way in helping to get away from the shrek blobs found in every large team game.

Also, it is disheartening to use the pen ability and see multiple shots continue to bounce.

I wish the jackson had even more pen, even without its ability, its really annoying that the one shot it fired before the tank in question blitz away/tworfs/snokes bounces off the rear armor.

Yeah, 90mm, yay.

M10 is fine I think. I often use it to counter early P4s and Stugs without bringing in an ATG, and I think it's alright. Although a little HP increase would not hurt. It is also fast and good for flanking.
Jackson needs a small buff I think. Either RoF or Penetration slightly. Jacksons are unstoppable with spotters.

Id like to see a small nerf in the jackson damage, but make it reliabily penetrate all heavy tanks, it's ridicolous to see tigers sometime getting almost oneshotted by 3 jacksons, sometimes not even a single shot penetrates.

What I would like to see is giving Jacksons an ability that increases their penetration and decreases rate of fire while active (better aiming?) - that way you could prioritise wether you want to shoot at highly armored targets or just wreck lighter stuff faster. A sheer penetration buff could make them too strong for a doctrinal unit, I think people often ignore the fact they have extremely high damage (same as ISU AT wise).

Buffing the current ability could be a good placeholder for something more creative.

I've always thought that HVAP should be a default ability and vet 1 (maybe vet 2 with the m10) should be some kind of sight range increase.

Considering it's all RNG whether they pen axis heavy armor...I'd go for pen buff and blitz nerf for the M36 and range + pen buff for M10s, or pen + health via upgrade (sandbags anyone)

Jackson Acceleration should be increased from 2.5 to 2.7 and its target size reduced to 20 or 22(Sherman/M10/P4 size) from 24(panther size), right now they are too vulnerable to shrek blobs or does nothing to Armor covered by Pak 40s. A mid-long range pen buff would be nice too.

I always wondered why the choice of the m10 and m36?

One was designed to replace the other. Both are based on the Sherman chasis. The m10 was a bit faster than the m36 not not by a whole lot, while the m36 was a bit slower and had the 90mm.

The real choices for this period should have been m18 vs m36. Now there you would have had different choices. The m18 had the 3" gun but it was FAST (up to 92kph/57mph on road). Make it so it can outrun ... well... pretty much everything. The m36 was still faster than a Sherman, and lighter, but of course its feature is the 90mm, which should be able to pretty reliably penetrate almost anything.

It feels so dumb, getting behind enemy vehicles and then getting hardly any shots out only due to that relatively slow rotation speed.

M10 is useless outside of 1v1 due to how weak it is to any support at all. Not to mention useless against the OKW most the time due to their tanks having the same range. 50 range and low health leaves almost no room mistakes and losing a 80 fuel investment in the blink of an eye is not really exceptable. The M10 has too small of a niche and is only really good vs P4s.

Either give it more range or health and raise the price so it's easier to use. And can actually be of help vs heavy armor later on.

Mmmh. I think most people get confused about how the M10 works. You need to use them in groups, hopefully with an M4 nearby. And be extremely aggresive - roll up point blank behind whatever armor you're trying to take out. You have to be opprotunisitc. Don't roll in while the schreck horde is A-moving across the map and don't go "tank hunting" when you know there's pleanty of AT pointed at out. Not saying it's easy, but it's effective when done right.

I use M10s pretty regularly and find them to be very effective against certain types of Axis armor - I'd much rather have M10s over M36s when fighting Jagdtigers/Elephants, It's very easy to roll in 2-3 M10s to Jagds flank and wipe it out. M10 is also really useful for going deep behind the lines and taking out pesky walking stukas.

When fighting KT/Tiger I prefer Jackson, with range and speed it's usually pretty effective vs those.

Where the problem really arises is when dealing with panther. It's too hardy for either either M10 or M36 to deal with and it's too fast for either one to flank it.

The changes I would like to see.

M10
- Scatter reduced from 7.5 to 6.5
- Vision increased from 35 to 50
- CP reduced from 7 to 6

M36
- Increased penetration from 160/180/200 to 200/220/240
- Increase cost to 135 or 140FU to compensate for penetration buff.
