AA HT Pin is Way Too Long

Is anyone noticing this? Literally a surprise burst and then your grens are groveling on the ground. Worse, they stay crawling on the ground for 5ever even when the HT goes somewhere else..

After 20 years, the grens are still crawling...

Anyways, I think it's just some bug with Relic it happens with MGs too, when a unit gets suppressed they just stay suppressed even when there is nothing firing at them.

It's all MG's. There is a really really slow recover rate in coh2. In the first game if nothing was shooting at your squad, they would recover really fast, but here it's not the case. The AAHT has 2 HMG's, so it suppresses pretty damned fast. You can try to go through the hail, but outsmarting the player is usually the better option.

recovery rate is 10-15 seconds. i'm not sure on the exact number but it's like that for every unit.

They sure did, but we are talking about recovery here. Even when you destroy the MG/AAHT/FlakHT it takes too long for the squad to recover.

How fast ur units recover from suppression depends on 2 factors iirc:

1st the Cover, better cover means faster recovery.

2nd are they still under fire from other units(not suppression dealing ones), units under fire recover slower from suppression.

That+if any other unit is shooting at suppressed unit, the suppression will not end.

I would like to see a change to MGs: make them deal supression quicker (maybe except for the Kübel and the Maxim) to make frontal assaults on MGs less likely to suceed- but also make units recover faster.

On a related note, is it just me or is the USF Smoke Nade too good against Ostheer?

Is there a way in early game for the USF to deal with HMG other than flanking and what are they supposed to do when this is not possible? Does this answer ur question?

USF should be using their flamethrowers, mortars, or snipers :foreveralone:

M20, just straight up messing them up from the front with nades or BARs, or just do it like they did in CoH 1 and FLANK?

Flanking is not always an option, like when there is only 1 path with a machine gun on the other end.

Isn't the time 1.5 seconds when not shot at? I do spam movemant order, since i feel it helps se squad get back on its feet again. But mine get reliably unsupressed when not shot at, smoke is your friend.

Well, it's not about reliability of recovering from suppression. It's about how long. If it was unreliable you would be pretty pissed with whichever infantry never recover for the entirety of the match.
