Game is crashing - what can I do ?

Happen to me from time to time, a lot of questions last days in the shout box, so will try to summarize some ideas here:

1. Video Drivers
- Use DDU to clean drivers store first.
- Install new (or check OTHER, older driver).
(it's not a true that newer = better, especially if you video card is not the
brand new model)

2. Disable AERO desktop for COH2
- Find the proper option on the game's exe file properties tab (RelicCoH2.exe).
(language dependent, 4th from top where 256 colour option is the first)

3. Little trick
- Before you start first battle. Switch 1-2 times from full screen game view back to desktop
(windowed) and again. (Helps me a lot, do not know why)

4. Check the system power management options.
- Go for maximum or standard/middle settings. Give you graphics card a chance to work properly.
Especially the PCIe power should be set at the maximum.

5. Be sure your files are in good shape.
- Use stream function to verify files integrity, run:
(lib > COH2 > properties > local files > test files .... (language dependent)

6. Verify your video card load
...using any sensors graphing software.
Be sure it's not overloaded.

7. Go with very low graphics setting
.. then slowly move up again.

8. Do not use the auto tuning features
In game or from nVida. Find you best setting yourself.
(or just use once to find your middle point,
my card go smoothly 90% of the time using much better settings)
