You have the 3 basic options which you can turn on and off:
- Send me notifications when someone quotes me
- Send me notifications when someone performs a moderation action to my post(s)/thread(s)
- Auto-subscribe my own threads (with this you can also disable notifications for your "popular" threads by cancelling the subscription)
You can subscribe to Users and Threads.
To subscribe a user, go to their profile and click "SUBSCRIBE".
To subscribe a thread, go to this thread and scroll down to the bottom where you will find the button "SUBSCRIBE TO THIS THREAD".
Thread subscriptions are simple; you will get notifications when the thread gets new replies.
User subscriptions are bit more advanced. You can choose what you want to subscribe;
- Posts,
- Threads,
- or Replays
You can have any combination of those, for example only Posts, or only Posts and Replays.
Users will now have "Subscribers: #" display under their post count which is their current subscriber count.
Emails will be the next update, where you can enable emails per subscription.
