Absolutely this.
Free maps are absolutely not taken for granted.
Other games really make you pay for this, just saying.

I agree that Relic deserves credit for the free new maps being put into automatch rotation.

My only issue with Relic is their slowness in getting community made maps into automatch rotation. There are some damn fine maps out there made by some quality map makers. Quite frankly, mapmakers are extremely under appreciated IMHO by Relic and even somewhat by the community. I've personally used world builder to make a map and its very time consuming work with little to no recognition. If they made an effort to add even 8 maps a year (2 for 1v1, 2 for 2v2, etc) that would be a MAJOR improvement and would require almost no effort from Relic.

Just my opinion.

I'm not DLC-averse at all, but a healthy rotation of new maps for MP, for free, seems not an unreasonable thing to expect.

I think he meant that as an example. If there were DLC map-packs. Like many games have.

I myself prefer summer maps (of course, more appealing colors) but I don't mind winter maps. So nice little touch to have extra maps from Relic!

talking about new maps, there are some great maps in the ToW missions. I do not know why they aren't being implemented.

more from Cynthia, our Lady CoH:

When it comes to discussion surrounding patches, we're discussing how we can better strike a balance between communicating with you folks more, and not creating 'new' or different issues from more transparent communication.

If we pre-communicate too much, problems can arise such as saying a feature is coming out that we then decide to hold back due to newly discovered testing requirements. We know you guys want more transparency and we will try to bring that - but we are going to walk up to that line slowly, so we don't step over it. A lot of you would understand the situation I've just described, because technology is a beast of it's own. But a lot of people wouldn't, either. So we have to work out to what degree we can provide more information, and to what degree we have to stick with 'wait and see'.

There will always be some stuff that is NOT pre-communicated. The two new multiplayer maps? They were meant as a surprise for the free weekend. It kind of defeats the purpose of a surprise to give advance warning The team could have held them back and released them with the other stuff coming, but decided it would be great to get them out early.

So here we are.

I just hope that some of you guys get into the game and try them out over the weekend, plus get a chance to play around with whatever aspects of our franchise you haven't purchased yet!

Company of Dopes (CoD) :D

"Control the US forces as you fight off the advancing insurgents coming in from 72 directions (72!?) all while having only a company of dopes.

Units will include:
Dope Riflemen
Less Dope Riflemen
Super Dope Riflemen
Rear Echelon Dopes
Dope tank crews

If you preorder now, you will get free access to a future dope DLC which will cost 700$"

Ok, that's just plain silly and I don't intend to bash Relic in any way.

She is totally right, but if you look around: Most of the scrubs from the community won't be able to understand

Theres a difference between talking about new features and on the other hand identifying bugs and balance.
