i honestly dont know what build order and strategy you guys are using, but even on open maps, cons are really good as long as you keep them spread out. when advancing on an mg, make sure youre cons arent clumped enough to get AoE suppressed. this means you HAVE to micro your squads instead of square selecting them all and just right clicking. grens cant hold against cons, and when you have more squads than they do, theyll have to retreat EVERY TIME.

Allot of people struggle to dodge multiple molotovs at a time. And cons swinging from buildings and running about like wee giddy school girls.

Err, I mean, Cons are pretty good on some maps. Not sure about others, they give you a good opening, but it is beatable imo if your opponent has good micro and knows the counters (e.g. grens and Scout cars for Ostheer).

Saying that, 5 cons is a start I still fallback on occasionally, it is pretty solid. On some maps, like the urban ones, you can even stall out without molotovs and get a quick T3 up, as Ostheer struggle to hold the map vs 5 cons in the early game.
