Yeah, you get a "normal point" resource buff for 200 mp. It doesn't matter where you place it, but it must be locked down in friendly territory 1 truck/sector.

If placed on Fuel or Munitions, it will provide only that resource at a high rate. I think it's like 7 for fuel, and 11 for munis.

ohme is right, the opel blitz will double the normal income of the point, that you choose to set it up on. i recently tried it in a custom game and the +11 ammo point gave another +11 ammo with an opel on it. (didn't try it on a cached point, but i assume it won't increase the income any further than 5 muni and 3 fuel with a cache)

Opel blitz is bugged. It gives resources to the player that captured a territory. So if you put opel on a territory that was captured by your teammaet it gives resources to him.
wow, that sounds like a total mess. is this known to relic? because they didnt fix it last patch

I would run out my Opel trucks and paint our sectors yellow on the mini-map. The team benefitted - I don't think anybody ever thanked me - but they rolled out their heavy gear whilst I strafed - and waited for the Tiger.
Then the first nerf: Strafe went to pot. Then the second nerf: only I could benefit from the yellow sectors - in theory. Now, it seems, even that was incorrect.
I can only imagine the tool tip to which the OP refers, harks back to halcyon days gone by....when an Elefant was an elephant in musth...to be approached with extreme caution. Its psychological effect was as dramatic, as an ISU 152 nowadays is.
