I use for long ranged units, when i havent time babysitting, and want move with them another side of the map, because with gren lmg, sniper, Puma, AC, AT guns etc is epic fail walking near to the enemy CQC units, or AT... With Shock, PG and all CQC specialist, i use klick spam near/behind the enemy squad for closing the distance, not attack move.

when I think I will run into weak resistance/no chance for artillery strike, or if I quickly need to shift attention to somewhere

I use this very often, especially on MG42 but also on Grenadiers with LMG and light vehicles.

When opponent is using blobs, then using attack-move is safer (I lost few times infantry using normal move because it moved straight into enemy fire, and when I saw this it was over )

The only time it is really useful is when you want to attack something at max range. One key unit Attack move is useful for is when kiting with a sniper. Shoot a squad and walk back, fallow up with an A move in order to re attack at the safest distance.

Another time it is useful is when you opponent has a single capping squad taking an open point, such as one of the close spots on Semoisky Summer/ winter. When using a long ranged unit such as a gren squad the A move will initiate an attack at their optimal range vs close ranged units such as conscripts.

Other than that A move is not terribly useful because actual micro will put your units in better spots or focus fire. One of the failings of this game is target priority. You can clearly see this problem when you run into a blob A moving towards you. They will all stop around the same time and open fire on the closest unit.

I would never A move a tank

Allways, if I cant 100% babysit a unit. Smg units may be an exception.

All the time. I am an attack move queen.

Seriously, though, I actually never use it. I try to rely on just using hot keys and microing everything. That said, I have terrible micro and multi-tasking so maybe I should try using A-move in some situations.

I use attack move for every unit that I send away on the minimap and when they encounter a unit I decide what to do. This way i dont end up walking units past squads and geting demolished.

Probably maxim is one of the worst units for using A-move.

Infantry units that carry an LMG will only use the LMG if they are stationary. Use attack move to have them stop moving (ideally though youll want to put them in cover and sit there, but if theres no cover around then use attack move)

I'm serious, unless the enemy is coming straight towards the maxim, he would be oustide the shooting cone way before the maxim has been deployed. Moving maxims in the open with A-move can be very risky, but it still can be used safely in narrow lanes where you can predict the enemy's path.

You could A-move maxims before nerfs, but now its deploying time, although still quick, is not fast enough to allow it to be used with Attack-move.

@wooof
I'm not complaining. Old maxim was OP indeed because it could be used just with a-move among other things.

The Question here is:

Attackmove everything blob lololol yolo, or the normal a-click?

Because you should always a-click if you send units into the fog of war. It's not as bad as in Starcraft, were your units don't attack on the move at all, but still if you run past the enemy your units wont shoot.

And most importantly, you get to close to your enemy, and thats never good when you don't micro them, because then they die fast. If you attackmove, your units will stop at max range, and you have plenty of time to check in on them.

Right click is only if you want to run into cover under fire.

For long unit moves I almost always attack move, they encounter something, I look over to them, micro them into cover or whatever. When its mid-late game and you have 10-12 units on the field its safer than doing normal move commands as you run the risk of letting a unit run straight past an enemy unit during high action periods.
