I got matched against Von Ivan and Siberian (both in top 10) last night i a 2v2 game. They were playing OKW and I was playing as Russians. My rank in a 2v2 as Russian is around 25.000 !!!! The auto match must be completely random and that is a waste of time for both parties.
I hope this is something relic is looking into.

The automatch works fine, its just there's not enough people and the search expands. So you get matched with people who are with better or worse ELO than you.

But my rank is 25.000 against the top 10 - that is a waste of time! My suggestion would be to not let the search expand below a certain level - otherwise you going to have a lot of bad experiences. Is the player base so small that nobody between rank 11 and 25.000 were online in a 2v2 ? at 20:00 GMT – to me that sounds unlikely/disturbing.

I would rather wait 30+ mins for a decent match than get opponents that are way out of (or down) my league.

If they are a newly formed 2v2 team their Elo would be the same as a new players.

Hey, I am sorry that was the case. The player numbers are limited so there are staggering differences between players that get matched up if no matches are found within a certain time frame.
We are not a new team so that's not the issue, it's simply the lack of players and the automatcher just trying to find you a game at that point, with little regard to ELO. Just the way it works
