I often play 2v2 random, it's my favorite mode in this game and often my mates are "afk" in the beginning, it doesn't matter for 10 minutes or 2, very hard to start playing 2v1 anyway...
I think there must be something like penalty for heedless players...
Do you guys agree me?

I don't think players are always AFK, some times it's that freeze due to bad optimization. I know a few friends that have that issue.

It was another topic... about Relic to make different match making...
Not about penalties. This will be good for everyone imho..

I think a better way to handle this is to create an "audio cue or bell" to let players know a match has been found and the game is about to start. I'm sure plenty of folks who are not there at the start are simply at desktop doing other things while waiting for the game to start...especially if they are playing axis.

The game actually does indicate a little green progress bar overlay on the game icon in the taskbar when the game starts loading. There's no sound though, sadly. I'm not sure such a thing is possible in windows, but I really don't know.

It won't work... If someone is on desktop, then will not hear sound of "bell" as you said.

@DavidKh: this is a pointless thread. I have tried to gently point that out already.
But since you insist on proceeding, this is a 2v2 Random thread recently, which I assume you missed?

It answers your point. 2v2 Random is what it is. Try to stop spitting into the wind
