I truly hope we have seen the end of this mechanic in COH 2.
Probably the most broken stupid concept in COH by a mile.
Crew repairs could actually work if tank members jumped out and started fixing the tank but current crew repairs is stupid as well.
Allied War Machine and crew repairs.

yeah... if for "xxx" amount of ammo crew members would jump out and rep the tanks that would actually work and be more realistic as in the combat they did had to take care of their tanks . It would also make the game more realistic as player would have to pull back his tanks to safety and rep there and not during the battle.. duh.

Let's remember that vCOH wasn't meant to be as realistic as a MOW can be.
Anyway, why would you use a xxx ammo ability to bring the tank crew out while you can fixe your tanks safely with engs in the same conditions with zero cost ?
Field repairs is part of the game right now. It will certainly change in coh2 but why complaining about it and not bunker reinforcements, ftfl, prop war, blitzkrieg, cloaked units ? It's part of the game for now, deal with it.

Field Repairs is just silly warcrafty old relic thinking (pun intended)
Definitely not trying to advocate realistic only mentality, it would break the incredible gameplay that is COH's competitive advantage. There are extremes, for example, COH Online had heaps of gimmicky shit that really hurt the franchise.
It's about getting the right balance.
Having medics respawning and picking up injured troops adds to gameplay. Clicking a button and your tanks magically repair doesn't. Clicking a button and for 20 seconds, your tanks magically reappear at the back of the map, not cool. Being a defensive faction and having the ability to inspire your troops defensively, fairly cool (albiet slightly unbalanced currently). Cloaked units, adds a huge part to the game.
There is a line, personally, I think it lies after Crew Repairs. How much better would it be to have a passive ability that you could click and your tank members could get out and start repairing?
The concept of being rewarded with blowing up your own tank, just plain bloody stupid.

Here's crying about AWM and Field Repairs, and not caring about things like "button", "instant arty" the broken as shit Sector Arty, scorch points, G43 insta pin, AC cloak detection etc etc.
AWM only replaces the first two tanks killed and thats for 200 munitions, its hardly spammable or game breaking and field repairs is 150 munitions as well, that takes ages to repair anything.

AWM kind of represents the numerical superiority of the Allies.

I like AWM, the idea behind it fits well into word war two. Honestly CoH/CoH2 isn't MoW and shouldn't but super realistic.

If Soviets get an ability thats similar to AWM, then it will be less powerfull in Coh 2 because Wehrmacht units will gain veterancy normaly, so if u rush in tanks and lose them then u also feed the German with vet.

well soviets have kv 1 which is heavy tank and i think he will be balanced vs panters + you probably as russian have some armor doctrine where you will call IS or some similar russian steel tank which will be with support enough good to counter tiger.
Russians have heavy tanks which US dont have in coh1, so AWM in coh 2 will not be needed, + t 34 ram will play crucial role in tanks fights
Tank battles will be more balaned.
thats my opinion
