Veterancy on the Jagdpanzer

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone knew what the veteran ability on the jagdpanzer and panzer II does? It says it makes the vehicle harder to detect at medium distances? What does that mean?

It means, when active, the vehicles cannot be spotted at normal distances until you get REALLY close to it. Im not 100% sure if they completely reveal themselves when they fire, but they do have hold fire and they do more damage when shooting with the ability active (and cloaked), at least for the Jagdpanzer. It deals more damage and resembles the old hetzer's ability.

So the vehicle actually cloaks? I've used it and it seemed like nothing happened but perhaps I was in combat at the time.
