This is the new Unit guide for the US Forces.

Seems like the US Army will be heavy infantry focused.
Pretty much all tanks are only in T4 for fightning other tanks specially the Sherman and M36 Jackson.

Rest will be done by Bazookas and the at gun.The weapon rack will give the us infantry a big versatility.

Does somebody know if americans will have the sherman with the longer gun that the soviet land lease commander has?

US Army seems to be a very mobile and versatile faction. Looking Forward to try them out on the release day.

I m still a bit sad that the Amis don t have the Pershing.:(

The core issue i see with them is their forced early game limitation to Rifles, making them predictable and possible early game strategies rather shallow.

Also, youre forced into getting more infantry squads as you tech up, making them way too infantry and manpower heavy. You can easily end up with 7+ infantry squads later in the game if you dont want to float manpower.

I think this makes the US army rather painful than fun to play..

Do you get the Lieutenant, Captain and Major automatically if you tech up a new Tier?

The Us Forces don't have the M4A3(76)W. With good reason, because where the hell do you put it? There's already a commander that has an M4A3E8 and you can't make it undoctrinal because that would make the M4A3(75)W useless.

The 76mm Shermans will be with USF but doctrinally.

They could make it an upgrade for the normal Sherman. But relic doesnt like this idea because the T-34/76 also dont get an upgrade for the 85mm cannon sadly....

Not exactly. The M4A3E8 (Easy Eight) is doctrinal. The US Forces don't have the M4A3(76)W (The 'normal' Sherman with 76mm gun).

Doesn't the easy eight have a 76mm gun?

BTW, are you allowed to identify the other USF commanders? You should be.

The M4A3E8 (Easy Eight) does have a 76mm cannon, but it's also a better version of the Sherman overall (better speed, etc). The US Forces don't have the M4A3(76)W because it's just the normal Sherman with the M1 76mm. So basically a shittier version of the E8, which makes it hard to put it anywhere.

I dunno if I can. I'm talking about the E8 because it has been shown several times and Noun said that if it was shown you can talk about it.

I think the Lend-lease commander has the older 76mm Sherman.

I was wondering, as one of the previewers gave all the details for the other 3 OKW commanders (rare).

Yea the lend-lease commanders have the M4A2(76)W's now. Ohmwrecker actually said what abilities and units the commanders have a few days ago, don't remember which thread it was in though and I'm too scared to say anything myself lol.

EDIT: Fuck it:

These are the three OkW premium commanders. Not sure if there will be any more premium commanders, but both factions had three premium commanders in the alpha.

Elite Armored Doctrine (Signal Relay, Emergency Repairs, HEAT shells, Panzer Commander, and Vet P4 Ausf J. Battle Group)

Scavenge Doctrine (Thorough Salvage, Jaeger Light Inf Recon Squad, Infiltration Tactics, Flakpanzer IV Ostwind, and 105mm Howitzer Barrage)

Fortifications Doctrine (MG34 MG Team, Heavy Fortifications, Field Defenses - Mines / Bunkers, Pak 43 Emplacement, and Zeroing Artillery)

Not gonna give the US premium commanders cuz they weren't shown anywhere. Or at least not that I'm aware of.

yes. you have to order lieutenant, captain, or major(requires at least one of the formers) to unlock corresponding tier.

so for example, when you first tech to last US tier, you pay 240mp/90fu to get major and unlock the tier. if you lose your major, you can get a new one for 160mp.

It is optional. T2 and T3 both unlock access to T4.
