New Laptop

Hey guys!
I'm looking to buy a new laptop next week. My budget is 600-650€ and i'll buy it in Germany.
I plan on playing COH2 and other less demanding games, i.e. Civ5. I also plan on using external 23'' monitor for gaming.
Currently I'm considering this laptop,but i don't have any experience with Acer:

It seems good, but might not play every thing on high tho, e.g. Company of heroes

Sony is selling better laptops within that price range iirc.

Your laptop's saving grace is its graphics card. It's not good, but it's good for a laptop. All your other specs are just meh.

I don't know what you call "Demanding" but Civ V is an extremely demanding game. It runs my i7 4x3.2GHz up to 100C degrees. It's really heavy on the CPU due to all the simulations it's running. Same for any strategy game. It wouldn't be an issue if you weren't using a laptop, but you should check the temperature thresholds of your GPU and CPU, you could burn yourself on them running a demanding game, or just flat out melt parts of your laptop if it's too hot when it crashes from the heat. I've managed to boil water on my laptop.

My advice would be to get a laptop around the 15.6" screen range, so it's bigger and better for cooling, but still mobile. Try get a quad core CPU. 4GB RAM isn't really all that much, but for a laptop you can live it I suppose.

All in all it cost me about 900€. You could get things a few hundred cheaper that are worse, but are better than what you have.

Your weak points are the CPU and RAM.
