Full Screen + Windowed Mode

Does anyone know how to make the game full screen in addition to windowed mode?

Some people in other threads stated to run the game using options such as -windowed and -lockmouse, but this doesn't help. This makes the game full screen (and spill to other windows) in addition to keeping the mouse within the game.

What I want to do is make the game maximized within the screen, and be able to move my mouse to other screens without having to hit any keyboard shortcuts to do so.

Sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else.

This is from Steven one of our programmers:

First, for image quality I recommend going into the CoH2 options and setting the resolution to as close as your monitor resolution, if your computer can handle it.

In Steam, right click Company of Heroes under the My Games list on the left, select properties, and click the SET LAUNCH OPTIONS… button.
Paste in
-window –fullwindow
And press enter.

Next time you run the game, it will run in borderless fullscreen windowed mode.

There’s also several other launch options that most users don’t know about.

-nomovies
Skips the into scenes so you can start playing faster.

-forceactive
Makes sound continue to play in the background, so if you alt tab while automatching, you know when you’ve been matched by the sound.

-lockMouse
Makes it so that your cursor is “locked” into the game screen. Very useful for multi monitor setups so you can still use edge scrolling

I personally run with all of the following:

-nomovies -window -fullwindow -forceactive -lockMouse

So what is the benefit of running in windowed mode with full window over just plain full screen?

first benefit is i can use a second monitor/other porgrams without having to alt tab very useful for streaming. (or the second monitor.)

Exactly. I absolutely have having to wait a few seconds for the game to get out of full screen before I can actually navigate to another screen or window.

By having it full screen + windowed mode, I can easily just move my mouse over to another window without having to wait.

I switch between windows quite often, so you can only imagine how annoying this would get. About to try Steven's suggestion right now.

Is there a way to run CoH2 in resizable window mode?

I would like to watch replays in windowed mode, not fullsreen?

Is it possible to change the window size without the resolution?

@noun, limitless respect man, you just saved me some time with the -nomovies command, just wow, I've been playing CoH for years and never heard about that.
