So I'm currently looking at upgrading my desktop rig with some more ram, and possibly looking at getting some more GPU power as well. I currently have a 580 GTX. Would it be better to buy another 580 to SLI it or should I just purchase a newer generation graphics card/2 newer gen cards that a cheaper to SLI them?

Thanks Basilone. This guy makes me laugh.

I was thinking more for BF4/Titanfall as my rig runs CoH alright but I know not to SLI my shit if I want to play CoH2... That could have been an awkward moment.

Edit: And I take it Relic isn't planning on updating it so that it has SLI support?

I wouldn't put any money on that horse. Then again I hate SLI and crossfire, there's less hassle going with the beefiest single card you can get rather than trying to get SLI or crossfire to work.

You can probably sell your 580GTX for a modest amount too.

SLI is only for crazy guy who loving burning money.

There is no reason choosing SLI / crossfire over a more advanced card.

Are there any good sites that can compare cards? The card I was looking at is the GeForce GTX 770 (The jump from 770 to 780 is just a bit too much imo), but if I'm going to spend $300-350 on a GPU I want to know that it's going to be significantly better than what I have currently.

Wait for Maxwell then. The $350 segment isnt worth the money right now imo.

When do the GTX 800 series release and any ideas how much cheaper the 700s will be when that happens?

don't bother with a new card at all at the moment, unless you want to spend out on a Titan, for fps games I would sli your 580 if you cant wait forever to get something that significantly improves over it.

Eh, it's running everything I play at the moment pretty well so I'll just wait. And thanks for the clarification Budwise!
