yep, that´s the way to go....u have to perform the steps in the same order than in real life, that is, first base paint, then camo, then chipping, then oxide, then winter camo, then.....

in order to achieve the most realistic results, you have to do it in the same order that it happens in real life....

and about the grates, yes, they were used because of panzerfaust and this kind of AT that explodes when in contact with the target.....Hence, the panzerfaust exploded when touching the grate, so armor doesnt get as much affected as if the panzerfaust exploded when hitting the armor itself.

Excuse my bad english....trying to improve it every day...

Like Fichten says, oath of loyalty of the Wehrmacht. Started being used in august of 1934.

Here is a transcription of what it says. (Yes I copied it from wikipedia.)

German

"Ich schwöre bei Gott diesen heiligen Eid, daß ich dem Führer des Deutschen Reiches und Volkes Adolf Hitler, dem Oberbefehlshaber der Wehrmacht, unbedingten Gehorsam leisten und als tapferer Soldat bereit sein will, jederzeit für diesen Eid mein Leben einzusetzen."

English

"I swear by God this sacred oath that to the Leader of the German empire and people, Adolf Hitler, supreme commander of the armed forces, I shall render unconditional obedience and that as a brave soldier I shall at all times be prepared to give my life for this oath."
