I am not sure, whether COH2 will live up to the quality of COH1. However, i've been with COH1 for 6 years now and am desperately searching for a new game that goes the same road.
Even if COH2 might be of less quality than COH1, i am sure it will give me enough hours of fun to be worth the money. It doesnt have to be the game you play for the rest of your life to be worth those 50 bucks.

I like to compare game value to movies.

You pay $10-15 for a 2-hour movie, so I figure that if I buy a game and I get at least 6-8 hours of gameplay which I enjoy, it was worth it. If the game goes longer, then it's just bonus.

I don't like measuring games in terms of time I can get out of them. Some of my favorites games are short games (Bastion, Thirty Flights of Loving, Spec Ops: The Line, Dear Esther, The Walking Dead, Hotline Miami) and I'm happy to pay whatever for them even if they're not as much game time as a longer (or even a cheaper) game. Meanwhile, a game might provide me hours of playtime but not be very good - I bought Opposing Fronts and I got plenty of hours of PE and Brit play out of that, but I don't think that was good value for my money because really I would've been better off just never buying the OF factions. I judge games by their quality, not by their hours of play divided by price.

You forget that you take out girls to watch a movie in theatre. Those $15 are spent not just for the 2 hours alone ;) How does that work with a video game?!

Haha oh the girl I'm seeing is quite content to play games, too ;)

Coop games get bonus points because of that.

CoH2's biggest competitors aren't going to be movies.. it'll be other PC games.

In Berlin I can bring a massive bag of home-made popcorn (yes, the salty kind, you berlinese idiots... not that sugar coated shit you guys like), and a six-pack of beer in my backpack. Does that rule or what? Problem is by the end of Dark Night Rises I was so plastered that I thought "What the hell happened to Bane?" Somebody in the theatre trolled me with "oh catwoman just shot him." I was like "whu???"
