I'm a long-time CoH player (since 2008), and I just installed CoH2; in fact, I haven't even played it yet! So, it seems now's a good time to jump in to the forums.
I'm well-versed in dealing with custom maps and mods in CoH, but I don't know doodly-squat about CoH2 (yet). So, my main concerns are:
* where can I find custom maps for CoH2?
* how do I install custom maps?
* shoot, where's the custom maps folder?
I briefly checked out the mapping submissions forum; I see where people say they've created maps. Where are they? How do I get to them? What the heck is this "steam workshop"? Does steam control everything?? I could say a thing or two about steam right now, but I'll save that for another time.
If someone would be so kind as to point me in the proper direction, I'd be most grateful!
After all these years of doing it myself and helping others to deal with custom maps, it feels like starting all over as a complete newbie.
