So ive been looking over the stock maps, and I cannot find what turns a map officially into a winter map with blizzards. I did the script file, mapname.scar, and copied and paste from a stock map, renaming to mymap.scar. From what i can tell, it initializes the blizzard mode, and loads preset atmosphere settings. So far, I'm just using stock presets, in game and in the *scar file, but it doesn't work, no blizzards, and engineers cannot build fires. I tried to just save my own presets, in the map folder, but I'm not sure how to reference to those specific files; in the *.scar file, the directory is pointed to an archive.

Is there some hidden gameplay object, that I need to place on the map, to initialize the blizzard, do I need to save my own presets as the same name as map, or something else that I'm just completely missing?

World Builder does not "see" mapname.scar file. You would have to create a filelist and bach file to pack it manually.

I will post a tutorial about this. It seems to be more complicated than I thought.
Edit: Tutorial is up!
