Im guessing you're referring to miles per gallon :P

I get about 19 around town and 23-24 on the highway.

Is that a K&N? Did you check out the BMC ones? Toyed with getting one of those.

The filter AirRaid uses I'm sure is made by K&N. I've never heard of BMC.

I just installed a new cold air intake on my car yesterday, ordered stainless steel brake lines, ferrocarbon brake pads, dot4 fluid, high performance radiator, and signed up for my next track event March 1st. WOOT

Such pictures are better than pr0n!

We'll ofc. have videos of the next track event?

Carbon fibre air tubes basically. Cost a bit, and dead flashy - but those K&N cone ones are good too. Had one on my old G60, and you could hear it sucking air over the boom of the supercharger. Good tackle.

Here's a gratiutously shameless shot of my golf with the phat rims innit. :)

Alas they are too big (19"s) and rub on the front arches, so they've had to come off. Was good while it lasted though… until I got the bill for repainting the arches to replace the paint scrubbed off the lip from grounding!

Bit more shameless-ness - vid of my first track day. Glorious day in March at Oulton Park near Manchester. Pulled a 2.19 dead pretty much, but more experienced fellows can easily get 2.10. I think my suspension is a bit crap to be fair, but hey. It's a road/track car, not track focussed!

Nice video. Car does look a bit heavy on the steering.

How do you mean? It could be me being inexperienced?

No, I think it looks like you're taking the ideal line. I just got the impression that you had to pull the steering wheel hard and quite a lot when going into a turn? Perhaps the car doesn't have power steering?

Oh I see! No, there's no power steering. It's an engine in a steel cage with 4 wheels and a seat. Nearest it gets to a driving aid is an LSD on the rear axle. Everything else is for power and resiliance :)

Yeh, it is very involving. The golf pretty much does everything for you, and is so composed you have to get up to frankly stupid speeds to make it step out. Not terribly safe on country roads at that kind of rate. The Westy is much more fun.
