Comments on what I should be doing better would be well appreciated! I'm pretty new to the 1v1 arena so every bit of advice helps.

Watching this now, will make notes as I go:

Your cap order is a bit questionable. Thanks to the combat you don't get your high fuel connected for ever. I reckon it's a better choice to have your Pio and your first gren both go towards whatever side of the map you want to control; you can send your 2nd T1 unit to the north to cap that strat point and harass the fuel.

Losing the PG at 16 minutes is really unnecessary - if there's a bunch of conscripts around and you aren't going to attack with your other units, there's no point in throwing a grenade at the AT gun. It would be good to have it cleared... if you were attacking with your PIVs.

AT 20 minutes you start building 2 grens quads... I'd have liked to have seen a mortar (to counter the at guns) a sniper (to counter the shocktroops) or more pios (to repair your PIVs) isntead.

Most importantly though: if you want good tips on improving your game, post games that you lost.

Will do! I haven't saved any of my previous 1v1 that's why I posted my most recent one.

Yes, I cursed myself for losing that Pgrens for nothing. But regarding timing, is 14-16m the right time to get a pgren out or should I do it before FHT?

Also, I know that I probably should have waited for my FHT to upgrade before making an entrance to get a better shock value rather than .

Thanks for the mortar tip! I had a lot of MP floating when I queued in the 2 grens and now that I think of it, a mortar would have been a whole lot better investment.

Regarding cap order, which route would be best done? I sent the pio north just to try and disrupt his points then I sent my grens south because the cutoff to the fuel was that way and I was told that that was harassed most often due to it's wide open position.

I really appreciate the help!

Sorry no time to watch replay but some general comments:

If you go T2 as german you should do a 4 unit T1 (3 grens 1MG or even 4 Grens this patch)

T2

Depending on munitions get Halftrack then 1 PG or vice versa

Your first T2 unit should come out at around 6-7 minutes, and second T2 unit 7-9 mins.

Once you hit 10+ mins, Soviet can have T-70 that owns German T2, so really should aim to get T2 out sooner.

IF you buy Assualt or Osturpen Doctrines they work well with T2 as well.

Thanks for the timestamps! I'll do my best to work towards those units with-in those time frames. Going over the replay again, I saw that I definitely had the resources to field those units on time but I was engaged somewhere which delayed me.

With a fast T70 coming to the field at 10mins, I imagine a pak40 or a teller mine would be the next best thing.

It all sounds perfect on paper but my execution is far from perfect. <444>_<444>

Disagree with sageofthesix, you are not obligated to get 4 T1 units. You could just as easily get 3 or 5 and then go T2.

I meant in general a 4 unit T1 is standard. Up one down one is fine but involves reading your opponent and reacting correctly.
