Recent game I played against an opponent who was very skilled (at least I thought he was). Towards the end of the game I felt like things were fairly even but I didn't know how to continue on. Any advice is welcome.
Thanks to azl for skillfully playing out his strategy.

Support weapon companie followed by shock trooper doctrine. I know as I had issues with it then played with it myself and got owned.

Maybe shock troops aren't worth it you're right. I think that was just a sign that I didn't know what to spend my manpower on.

If you are going to invest heavily on the T34s, use the ram ability more. when ever you see a german tank pushing forward to a spot where you might think "gee, if that tank stays put I can kill it" RAM IT! if you have 2 T34, ram with the other and finish it with the other, or if you have only one T34, use the ram ability only if there is an AT gun nearby. try to keep engineers there to fix the rammers, but even if you lose a T34 when taking down a german tank it's always worth it. they cost more.
I know it's hard to tell while playing, but there were a couple of times when you had the edge with those T34s, and you could have taken some serious mapcontrol if you only went aggressively on the P4, and rammed it to kill it.
..Or if you feel uneasy about ramming, just go for early SU85s, they work way better for trading shots, just don't let them clump up.

No, you read what I was saying wrong. You did the right thing getting support companie and shock troopers. They good counter to PGren spam but you needed to get a fsst T70 out as well.
I been PGren spammed a few times. Eventually I learnt to get Maxims then a fast T70, it wipes them out.
Anyway that player sucks, he just spammed the same unit. I lack respect for those players.

Shock troops aren't worth it atm, too expensive. Shock doctrines are only good right now for the KV-8. 1 Shock troop squad reinforced with Merge Conscripts is OK for clearing weapon teams and static units (merged keep offensive bonus), but that about it. Shocks need a price reduction and possibly upkeep reduction.
